The wednesday night race was preceded by storm warnings and violent torrential rains. Still, the weather and skies were beautiful came start time at 18:30, with westerly winds in the 10-15 knot range. It was a close contest throughtout between sailboats Jeitinho, Born to Run et Youp!

Six teams mustered the courage to race in exceptionally strong winds this Wednesday.
Smaller jibs and reefing had to be applied in order to storm a strong north-westerly wind of 25 to 35 knots,

The chosen course for this Wednesday’s race was around buoys D-F-A.
The wind was a northwesterly 5-to-10 knot wind, down to 5 towards the end of the race.
The race was hotly contested between Marinik, Nemo and Born-to-Run. In the end Nemo finished first, by staying close to the leaders

With a 3-6 knot southwesterly wind, the Racing Committee decided to hold the race on the southern side of the bridge in order to take advantage of the better conditions. Fantastic conditions for the Commodore Annual race. The course F-K-E-C-D-A was completed in three hours in a 10-to-20 knot westerly breeze. Aquilon once again showed tremendous skills on long courses. “La Perle Noire” is a promising newcomer, finishing second ahead of “Filoup”. Skies were cloudy at the beginning, but the race concluded in beautiful sunny conditions !

The annual Bill Marshall race took place in fantastic conditions, with winds varying from 6 to 15 knots, WNW at first, switching to SW towards the end.
A problem with the engine of Rose de Borée, our committee boat, led to the use of a “gate” start (rabbit start).
